PLATA JEWELLERY began it's journey in a tiny store in Sydney's magnificent Queen "Victoria Building in the year 2000.

We were inspired by a chance meeting with a wonderful French jewellery designer by the name of Laurent Leger, who hoped we would sell his pieces in our art gallery - we were so impressed with his collection that we decided to open a new store - the name would be PLATA meaning 'silver' in Spanish - and our plan was to introduce a unique, affordable, exclusive collection of sterling silver jewellery from around the globe.
